There’s more than one way to generate inbound activity, but every system has a few foundational elements in common:

  1. Understand the synergy: Learn how these systems complement outbound strategies to validate messaging and create social proof, enhancing the entire client interaction process.

  2. Be the scientist: Treat your messaging like a series of experiments. Constantly test and refine to ensure it resonates with your audience across all channels.

  3. Optimize continually: Systems naturally degrade over time. Regularly analyze and update your referral, inbound, and outbound systems to maintain their effectiveness. Use metrics to gauge when adjustments are necessary.

  4. Leverage client feedback: Successful client results drive your referral system. Conduct client interviews and gather feedback to refine your messaging and improve client attraction. Use exact words and phrases from clients to enhance authenticity and connection.

  5. Build referral assets: Create a structured method for generating client feedback through intake forms, interviews, and result check-ins. This data is invaluable for developing testimonials and case studies that bolster your referral system.

  6. Inbound strategy focus: Focus on the 20% of inbound tactics that generate 80% of your results. Prioritize validating messaging organically before scaling with paid strategies. 

Now, here are the action items for you to complete ASAP:

  • Conduct client interviews: Schedule interviews with your top clients. Ask about their experiences before, during, and after working with you. Record and transcribe these interviews.

  • Analyze trends: Identify common phrases and feedback from these interviews. Use this data to refine your messaging.

  • Test hypotheses: Implement changes based on your findings and track the impact on your metrics. Adjust as needed to optimize your systems continually.

Take these steps and you’re on the road to generating more inbound leads.
